Macro–micro design

- 01
1.5° locking conical connection
Precision fit of the abutment in the implant, designed to prevent micromovement and microleakage.
- 02
Sloping shoulder
Space for hard and soft tissue; safer next to a tooth or another implant.
- 03
Square-edged fins
Stress distribution to the alveolar bone and increased bone–implant contact.
- 04
Anti-rotational channels
Resist rotational forces and connect the vascularity of consecutive grooves.
- 05
Incrementally deepening grooves
Enhance the surface area and distribute functional load.
- 06
Biconical inner–outer body
Mechanical stability and stress distribution to surrounding hard tissue.
- 07
Safe apex
Flat apex for controlled insertion in the proximity of the mandibular nerve and the sinus membrane.
- 08
i-mimetic surface
Surface structure intended for osseointegration and cell attachment.

Ø3.0 and Ø3.5 implants are recommended for lateral and mandibular incisors; 2.5 well implants in the anterior maxilla; 2 mm well implants are not for posterior single units or overdenture attachments.

Connection and well
The abutment post is friction-fit into the well of the implant — a 1.5° locking taper (“cold-weld”) that works without an abutment screw. The well size (2.0, 2.5 or 3.0 mm) follows the implant width and determines the matching abutment post; all abutments are non-indexed.
Range by well

2.0 well
Ø3.0 and Ø3.5 implants in 6, 8 and 10 mm; anterior single units.
- Ø3.0 · Ø3.5
- 6 · 8 · 10 mm

2.5 well
Ø4.0 and Ø4.5 implants in 5, 6, 8 and 10 mm; recommended in the anterior maxilla.
- Ø4.0 · Ø4.5
- 5 · 6 · 8 · 10 mm

3.0 well
Ø4.0 to Ø6.0 implants from 4 mm; the short range for posterior sites.
- Ø4.0 – Ø6.0
- 4 · 5 · 6 · 8 · 10 mm

Documented compatibility
Only combinations stated in the product documentation are listed here; related products of the same brand are not assumed to be compatible.
- i-System prosthetic components →Abutment post size 2.0, 2.5 or 3.0 must match the implant well (catalog, prosthetic components).
- i-LiNQ® components →Shown by Novodent seated on the i-System implant (renders); both use a 1.5° locking conical connection.
